Infertility

Infertility is a disease in which the ability to get pregnant and give birth to a child is impaired or limited in some way.  Infertility means not being able to get pregnant after at least one year of trying (or 6 months if the woman is over age 35). Infertility results from female factors about one-third of the time and both female and male factors about one-third of the time. The cause is either unknown or a combination of male and female factors in the remaining cases.
